Glen Nowell

Glen Nowell received his Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from Brandon University and then his Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University.  His Masters thesis investigated the relationship between Classical singing technique and vocal health at Canadian universities.  Glen has been a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music and Dalhousie University’s Department of Music, and taught a course on singing technique at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.  He has also presented at numerous conferences including the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts summer lecture series and the Toronto District School Board annual conference.

Glen was the keynote speaker at the inaugural meeting of the Waterloo SNATS (Students of the National Association of Teachers of Singing).  Performance credits include Prairie Opera, Canzona, Brandon University Chorale, Brandon University Choral Society, Burlington Civic Chorale, as well as numerous solo recitals.  Glen is an active singing teacher and voice therapist in Portage la Prairie, Oakville and Winnipeg.
